Domain
Domain=x?
No! In biology domain has a different meaning than in math. It is the highest classification for living organisms (Domain). There are three domains, which are: Archaea, Bacteria, and Eukarya.
Eukaryotes: This domain contains "organisms whose cells contain complex structures enclosed within complex membranes call endomembranes," (The Eukaryotes). It is either mutlicelular or unicelular (Allott, Mindorff). It has four kingdoms; Protista Kingdom, Fungi Kingdom, Plantae Kingdom, and Animalia Kingdom.
*For this project we will be exploring the other levels for the Eukaryote domain (Click Here to continue)*
Bacteria: "Bacteria are single-celled organisms known for their striking diversity," (The Domain Bacteria). They lack a nucleus and organelles, but have a cell wall, and they two most common shapes among bacterial cells are: rods and spheres (Allott, Mindorff). One of its kingdom is the Eubacteria Kingdom.
Archaea: They are "single-celled microorganisms. They have no cell nucleus or any other organelles inside their cells," (What Are Archaea?). One of their many characteristics is that they reproduce asexually in a process known as binary fission (Allott, Mindorff). One of its kingdom is the Archaebacteria Kingdom.
